URBAN SITUATION
The position of the bridge is characterized by surrounding large park areas on both sides of the river. With a horizontal gesture the bridge is integrated in the landscape and connects the green river banks.

FUNCTION AND FEATURES
The two-level organization of the bridge is designed for car traffic on the upper level and bicycle and pedestrian traffic on the lower level. The stacked construction supports a slim appearance which offers sunshade and weather protection for the lower level as well as small difference in level for pedestrians and cyclists passing the bridge.

Three main voids host gardens penetrating the driving lanes in the area of the central reserve. They indicate the green areas below to the drivers and create a bright atmosphere of natural daylight under the bridge fostering a continuous movement between the parks.
